Sakib saves the day!

From Sakib on Thursday November 8th:

The class went really good. I started the class teaching them basic
concept of 'prepositions' and made them do some exercises on it. They did
well. Then I gave them the lyrics of the song 'Waving Flag'and made them
sing the song and told them to memorize it as we will all be singing it on
the graduation day. Then after a short break, I talked with them about
importance of english and inspired them to speak and practice with their
friends. Then I made everyone tell me a funny story about their life.
First I started saying a funny story mine. I think everyone participated
and enjoyed it. Then I gave a chance to everyone to talk about their
experience in Qatar and about their family. Surprisingly they were really
comfortable talking about them and everyone participated. Finally, I made
some of them dance with the song Gangnam Style. That was a great hit :P.
Everyone liked it. Then finally the class ended with us all singing the
Waving Flag together. What made my day was everyones happy face and the
sentence they said when the left. The sentence was, "This class would be a
memory for me, thank you Sir!". I think everything went pretty well.

From Silvia to Sakib and to all:

Thank you Sakib for saving the day yesterday!  When we heard there were no teachers for Thursday's evening class, Fatima, Mashael, Sama, and I were ready to sadly cancel the class.  And then we thought of asking Sakib to teach the class.  When I called Sakib, he was on his way home from school, but turned around immediately and agreed to teach the class on the spot!  We are very grateful for Sakib's commitment to Language Bridges.

THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!
